Description

  • Significantly reduces sludge in natural ponds
  • Powerful bacteria to eliminate organic matter in ponds.

BACTOVASE allows a significant reduction in sludge and mud levels in ponds, rivers, and canals without the need for mechanical dredging.

ACTS ON:

  • Reduces the sludge layer in ponds
  • Degradation of organic matter in the pond
  • Prevents fermentation and bad odors.
  • Controls pH and odors

Our many references show up to a 50% reduction in sludge volume. The treatment principle involves adding microorganisms that multiply and break down the organic part of sludge and mud.

Usage advice for BACTOVASE

APPLICATION AREAS: LAKES, PONDS, ORNAMENTAL BASINS, FISH FARMING, FISHING WATER BODIES.

How to use Aquipond BactoVase?

For water bodies LARGER than 200m²

  • Plan for 2 applications (spring/autumn) of 150g/m²

For water bodies SMALLER than 200m²

  • Plan for 2 applications (spring/autumn) of 200g/m²

Due to its insoluble formulation, Aquipond Bactovase, once spread, will settle and deposit on the surface of the mud in water bodies. We recommend spreading by boat, using a flour shovel. It is important to apply Bactovase over the entire water body.

Aquipond Bactovase reduces the accumulated organic matter in a water body. A 25KG bag can reduce up to 80M³ of sludge.

This solution enables biodredging: degradation of organic matter by bacteria. BACTOVASE allows a significant reduction in sludge and mud levels in ponds, rivers, and canals. It is a powder insoluble in water, with variable granularity, delivered in bags or buckets.A 25 kg bag of Bactovase degrades up to 80m³ of sludge in 18 months.

One of BACTOVASE's main strengths, besides its advantageous price compared to other methods, is its extremely simple and easy use. Indeed, it requires no mechanical equipment and does not damage the areas surrounding the water body.

BACTOVASE is an ecological product that degrades sludge, unlike traditional methods that only move it. By eliminating the present organic matter and thus rebalancing the ecosystem,

BACTOVASE reduces until complete disappearance the phenomena of eutrophication, the growth of algae and aquatic plants, as well as foul odors. BACTOVASE also significantly reduces suspended matter, improving the transparency of the treated water body.

Aquipond Bactovase is based on biofixation technology, which consists of fixing natural non-pathogenic microorganisms on mineral supports, each specific to the type of microorganism. Thanks to this exclusive technology, microorganisms are easily stored and transported. In water, they are reactivated to better combat sludge.

How the product works: degradation of matter in the water body

Due to its insoluble formulation, Aquipond Bactovase, once spread, will settle and deposit on the surface of the mud in water bodies.

The different microorganisms will then do their work by feeding on the organic matter present in the mud, breaking it down into CO2 and water.

To feed, aerobic bacteria produce "exo-enzymes," substances that cut long carbon chains into smaller and smaller chains.

This first step produces degraded components small enough to be ingested by the bacteria. Then, inside the bacteria, other enzymes called "endo-enzymes" break down the assimilated components and use them for their metabolism.

Through this process, only CO2 and H2O remain from the original organic matter. Under these aerobic conditions, microorganisms multiply very quickly: they reproduce every twenty minutes.

Bacterial multiplication consumes matter. Indeed, to exist, a new bacterium uses carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen (CHON).

Thanks to this bacterial proliferation, protozoa (microorganisms higher than bacteria in the food chain) will gradually develop, feeding on bacteria. They will in turn be eaten by more developed organisms.

Through this degradation, we ultimately achieve a significant reduction in the initial height of the mud, this reduction varying according to the organic matter content of the mud at the time of treatment.
