Description
Bacteria for natural swimming pools & bathing ponds / These bacteria help unclog lagoons and limit algae growth.
- Reduces the accumulation and amount of organic matter
- Maintains clear water
- Optimized filtration, especially for lagoons
- Reduction of phosphates and nitrates
- Limits algae growth
Are you the owner of a natural swimming pool and looking for a solution for clear and transparent water all year round in your natural pool? Discover the bacteria for natural pools: BACTOSWIM.
Bactoswim gives a "biological boost" to your natural pool by allowing the natural biotope to restore itself and by reducing organic sludge and algae proliferation, it also improves water clarity.
This product has the additional feature of treating lava stone filters (annual treatment for 5 years). It is usually packaged and sold in 10kg buckets (spread at 150G/M2).
How to use Aquipond BactoSwim?
Plan for 2 to 3 applications per season (spring/summer/fall/winter) of 150g/m² depending on your lagoon. After this bacterial inoculation dose, we recommend 1KG per 10,000L at the start of the season to help restart the biological balance.
BACTOSWIM contains no pathogenic germs and is safe for humans, plants, and wildlife! Avoid using any biocidal products and also avoid throwing food (bread, crumbs, etc.) into your water to feed fish and ducks.
- Use 1Kg per 10M3 at the start of the season as soon as the water reaches 15°C.
Aquipond BactoSwim is an effective preventive and curative purifier. It is made of minerals, oxides, and natural germs that act sustainably to maintain a good balance in your bathing water.
How the product works: degradation of matter in the water body
Due to its insoluble formulation, once spread, Aquipond BactoSwim will settle and deposit on the surface of the sludge in the water bodies. The various microorganisms will then do their work by feeding on the organic matter present in the sludge, breaking it down into CO2 and water.
To feed, aerobic bacteria produce "exo-enzymes," substances that cut long carbon chains into smaller and smaller chains.
This first step produces degraded components small enough to be ingested by the bacteria. Then, inside the bacteria, other types of enzymes called "endo-enzymes" break down the assimilated components and use them for their metabolism.
Through this process, only CO2 and H2O remain from the original organic matter. Under these aerobic conditions, microorganisms multiply very quickly: they reproduce every twenty minutes.
The multiplication of bacteria consumes matter. Indeed, to exist, a new bacterium uses carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen (CHON).
Thanks to this bacterial proliferation, protozoa (microorganisms higher than bacteria in the food chain) will gradually develop, feeding on bacteria. They will in turn be eaten by more developed organisms.
Through this degradation, we ultimately achieve a significant reduction in the initial height of the sludge, this reduction varying according to the organic matter content of the sludge at the time of treatment.
Is it dangerous to swim with BactoSwim?
Designed for biological swimming, this very effective mixture is completely safe for humans and the environment if used correctly (no phytosanitary products, no GMOs).
Usage advice
Preventive or curative treatment with lasting effect used to achieve: clear water, visible reduction of organic waste, increased filtration performance, reduction of phosphates, stopping the proliferation of filamentous or other algae, supply of minerals and trace elements, …
