How much Bactovase does my pond need?
Allow 1 kg per 5 to 10 m² of sludge-covered area: 5 kg covers 25 to 50 m², 25 kg covers 125 to 250 m². The free diagnostic calculates the exact quantity for your surface.
Powder or liquid?
The powder is spread over the sludge of ponds and large water bodies. Bactovase Liquid is designed for garden ponds, where it dilutes easily in the water.
When should I treat?
During the active season, once the water has warmed up: that is when the bacteria work fastest. First check that it really is organic sludge and not a mineral deposit.

This solution allows biodredging: degradation of organic matter by bacteria. BACTOVASE allows a significant reduction in the height of silt and sludge in ponds, rivers and canals. The principle of treatment consists of a supply of micro-organisms which will multiply and degrade the organic part of the silt and sludge.
