Bactoswim gives a " biological boost" to your natural swimming pool by allowing the natural biotope to restore itself and by reducing organic slime and the proliferation of algae, it also improves water clarity.

This product has the additional feature of treating lava stone filters (annual treatment for 5 years). It is packaged and sold most of the time in 10kg buckets (spreading at 150G/M2).

How to use Aquipond BactoSwim?

You should plan for 2 to 3 spreadings per season (spring/summer/autumn/winter) of 150 gr/m² depending on your lagoon. After this bacterial innoculation dose, we recommend 1KG for 10,000L at the start of the season to help revive the biological balance.

BACTOSWIM does not contain any pathogenic germs and is safe for humans, flora and fauna! Avoid using any biocidal products or throwing food (bread, crumbs, etc.) into your body of water to feed fish and ducks.

• Use 1Kg per 10M3 at the start of the season as soon as the water reaches 15°C.

Aquipond BactoSwim is an effective preventive and curative purifier. It is composed of minerals, oxides and natural germs which act sustainably to maintain a good balance in your swimming water.

How the product works: degradation of the material in the body of water

Due to its insoluble formulation, Aquipond BactoSwim, once spread, will decant and settle on the surface of the mud in bodies of water. The different micro-organisms will then carry out their work by feeding on the organic matter present in the mud, thus degrading it into CO2 and water.

In order to feed themselves, aerobic bacteria produce “exo-enzymes”, substances that cut long carbon chains into smaller and smaller chains.

This first step will generate degraded components small enough to be ingested by the bacteria. Subsequently, inside the bacteria, other types of enzymes, called “endo-enzymes”, will degrade the assimilated components and use them for the proper functioning of their metabolism.

By this process, all that will remain, at the start of the organic matter, is CO2 and H2O. In these aerobic conditions, microorganisms multiply very quickly: they reproduce every twenty minutes.

The multiplication of bacteria consumes material. Indeed, to exist a new bacteria uses carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen (CHON)

Thanks to this proliferation of bacteria, protozoa (microorganisms superior to bacteria in the trophic chain) will develop little by little, these feeding on bacteria. They will in turn be eaten by other more developed organisms.

Through this degradation, we finally obtain a significant reduction in the initial height of the sludge, this reduction being variable depending on the organic matter content of the sludge at the time of treatment.
