Description
Aquipond Blue Lake 10 is a concentrated, 100% organic blue dye designed for ponds, lakes and large bodies of water. It tints the water a sky blue that filters sunlight: less light reaches the bottom, which limits the conditions that favour the growth of aquatic vegetation.
How the dye works
Aquatic plants and algae need light for photosynthesis. In clear, shallow water, sunlight reaches the bottom and encourages their growth. The dye filters part of this light, including UV rays, so submerged vegetation has less light energy available to grow.

It is used in bodies of water where submerged plants grow, such as water milfoil, Canadian waterweed, Brazilian waterweed (Egeria densa), spiny naiad (Najas major), stoneworts or hornwort, as well as filamentous or microscopic algae.

How to use
Calculate the surface area of your pond, then place the required number of sachets directly in the water without opening them: the water-soluble film dissolves and releases the dye. Repeat every 4 to 6 weeks, i.e. about 6 applications per year.
What dose for my pond?
One 100 g sachet per application: 1 sachet per 1,000 m² where algae are present, 2 sachets per 1,000 m² where aquatic plants are present, every 4 to 6 weeks.

Good to know
- Suitable for ponds, lakes, garden ponds and bodies of water.
- The dye works on light: it does not replace reducing nutrient input or maintaining the pond.
Tip: handle the sachets with dry hands and keep them dry until use: their film is water-soluble.
