Description
The OASE SubFlo 2 D pack brings together all the equipment to aerate a deep water body of 2 to 10 m from the bottom, up to 8,000 m² depending on its depth and shape. A base installed on the bank, 2 diffusers placed on the bottom and the tubing to connect them: you receive a complete, consistent installation, ready to set up.

How the installation is laid out

- The base on the bank: the SubFlo Base 2 D is installed in a dry spot, near a 230 V socket. Its SAD 120 compressor delivers up to 120 L of air per minute, continuously.
- From the base to the water's edge: the Tubing L. UV-resistant and low-friction, it carries air from the base to the edge of the pond, over a maximum of 30 m.
- From the water's edge to the diffusers: the Tubing H. Weighted, it sinks on its own and stays on the bottom. The roll is cut into one length per diffuser, matched to the distance of each.
- On the bottom: 2 SubFlo Diffuser D, supplied empty and weighted on site with gravel or sand. Their ultra-fine bubbles oxygenate the bottom and circulate the entire water column.

Why aerate from the bottom?
In summer, a deep water body separates into layers: warm, oxygenated water at the surface; cold water at the bottom that becomes depleted of oxygen. Organic matter decomposes poorly there: sludge builds up, gases such as hydrogen sulphide and methane form, and the nutrients released keep feeding algae. By injecting air at the bottom, SubFlo breaks up this stratification: oxygen reaches where it is lacking and the bacteria that digest organic matter regain good working conditions.

For a water body that stays healthy
Aeration creates the conditions; bacteria do the work. Combine SubFlo with Aquipond Bactovase to digest accumulated sludge, and check the KH of the water: below 7 °dH, mineralise first with Aquipond Nautex.
